Hyderabad, June 16, 2026:
A Hyderabad customer has alleged poor after-sales support from electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast after his newly purchased VF7 Wind reportedly broke down just a day after delivery, leaving him stranded near the dealership.
According to the customer, he took delivery of the VinFast VF7 Wind from Naresh Automobiles in Raidurgam on June 2. After charging the vehicle overnight, he drove approximately one kilometer the following morning before the SUV reportedly came to a complete halt directly in front of the showroom.
Customer Alleges Lack of Support
The buyer claims that showroom staff refused to provide immediate assistance and informed him that replacement parts would be required to fix the issue.
He further alleged that dealership representatives responded dismissively to his concerns, leaving the vehicle parked outside the showroom without a clear timeline for repairs.
Frustrated by the situation, the customer has reportedly issued a legal notice and approached the consumer forum seeking redressal.
Questions Raised Over After-Sales Service
The incident has sparked discussion on social media regarding after-sales service and spare parts availability for new electric vehicle brands entering the Indian market.
VinFast, the Vietnamese EV manufacturer, officially entered India in late 2025 and has been expanding its presence through dealerships and service networks across major cities.
However, some consumers have raised concerns online about service response times and parts availability as the company continues to establish its operations.
VinFast Yet to Respond
As of now, VinFast has not issued a public statement regarding the Hyderabad customer’s allegations.
Industry observers note that customer service and after-sales support will be crucial factors for emerging EV manufacturers looking to compete in India’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market.
The incident is likely to draw attention from consumers closely evaluating new EV brands entering the country.
