AC Explosion Triggers Fire in Noida High-Rise, Family Rescued Safely

Noida, June 29: An air-conditioner (AC) exploded in a flat on the 21st floor of a high-rise apartment in Sector 119, Noida, on Monday morning. The explosion started a fire and created panic among residents. However, firefighters rescued the family safely, and no one suffered any injuries.

The incident took place at Aranya Society. Soon after the blast, residents informed the Fire Department and the police. As a result, emergency teams reached the building within minutes and started rescue operations.

Fire officials quickly evacuated the family from the burning apartment. Meanwhile, police and society staff moved residents from nearby flats to safe areas. These steps helped prevent panic and ensured everyone’s safety.

Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Chaubey said six fire tenders and around 25 firefighters fought the blaze. They controlled the fire within 30 minutes. Therefore, the flames did not spread to nearby apartments.

After the fire came under control, firefighters searched the entire floor. They also carried out cooling operations to stop the fire from starting again.

Officials have not confirmed the exact reason for the AC explosion. A technical team will examine the damaged unit and submit its report after the investigation.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the situation. He directed senior officials to monitor the rescue operation and provide immediate help if needed.

The incident comes after several recent fire accidents in Noida’s residential buildings. Therefore, fire officials have advised residents to service air-conditioners and other electrical appliances regularly. They also asked people to report electrical faults immediately to avoid similar incidents.

Authorities said the quick response of firefighters helped save lives and prevented a major disaster in the crowded residential complex.
