Rahul Gandhi to Elon Musk: “Wait Till You Discover the Other Guy”

Elon Musk’s latest comments on Starlink’s delayed entry into India have triggered a fresh political reaction. After Musk questioned why Starlink has still not received all the required approvals, Rahul Gandhi reportedly responded with a short but cryptic message: “Wait till you discover the other guy.”

The remark has quickly drawn attention because of the timing. Musk had questioned whether Mukesh Ambani was the “real boss of India” while discussing the difficulties faced by Starlink in entering the Indian market.

But who exactly is the “other guy” Rahul Gandhi referred to? The Congress leader did not appear to explain the reference in the quoted response, leaving social media users to interpret what he meant.

The exchange comes as the debate over Starlink’s India entry continues. The Indian government has rejected claims that the country’s satellite communication rules are unfair or discriminatory. The Ministry of Communications said all licensed satellite communication companies are currently subject to security assessments and are broadly at the same regulatory stage.

The government has also said that companies must meet security requirements before moving to the next stage of spectrum assignment. This means Starlink’s pending launch is linked to the regulatory and security clearance process.

Musk, however, has questioned the delay. He has said Starlink operates in more than 165 countries and claimed the company has spent years complying with Indian government requirements.

Now, Rahul Gandhi’s “other guy” remark has added another layer to the discussion. Is he referring to another business leader, a political figure, or something else entirely? Unless Gandhi provides more context, the exact meaning remains unclear.

The exchange between Musk and Indian political figures is likely to attract further attention as Starlink’s regulatory process continues. For now, the key question remains: who is the “other guy” Rahul Gandhi was referring to?
