YSRCP Marks 16th Foundation Day at Party Central Office in Tadepalli
Tadepalli: Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party President Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has become a political force known for values, credibility, and commitment to people.
Addressing party leaders, cadres, and supporters during the 16th Foundation Day celebrations of the YSR Congress Party, Jagan stated that the party is not owned by one individual but belongs to millions of supporters who carry the legacy of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy in their hearts.
The celebrations were held at the YSR Congress Party Central Office in Tadepalli, where a large number of party leaders, workers, and supporters gathered to mark the occasion.
Floral Tribute to YSR and Party Flag Hoisting
During the event, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy paid floral tributes to the statue of former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, fondly remembered as “Mahaneta YSR”.
He later hoisted the YSRCP party flag, formally marking the anniversary celebrations. The party headquarters witnessed a huge turnout of supporters, turning the venue into a sea of party workers and admirers.
“YSR Congress Party is a Mark in Indian Politics”
Speaking at the gathering, Jagan recalled the journey of the party since its formation on March 12, 2011.
He said the YSR Congress Party has grown into a recognizable political brand not only in Andhra Pradesh but also in Indian politics.
According to him, the party was born during a challenging period in his political life, when a promise made at Nallakaluva became the foundation for the formation and growth of the party.
“That single promise changed my family’s circumstances and reshaped the political direction of the state. It eventually led to the birth of the YSR Congress Party,” he said.
Party Belongs to Millions of Supporters

Jagan emphasized that the YSR Congress Party is not the property of one leader.
“The YSR Congress Party is not mine alone. It belongs to crores of party workers, supporters, and everyone who carries YSR in their hearts,” he said.
He added that the party’s journey was built on politics rooted in values and trust, at a time when such ideals were fading in the political landscape.
“Never Feared Political Conspiracies”
Reflecting on the early days of the party, Jagan said he faced several political conspiracies from rivals including the Indian National Congress and Telugu Desam Party, which were powerful at the time.
Despite these challenges, he said he never stepped back.
“I never feared those conspiracies. My faith has always been in God above and in the people who stood with me,” Jagan said, thanking party supporters for their unwavering backing throughout the journey.
Commitment to Values and Credibility
Jagan reiterated that the YSR Congress Party will always remain committed to values and credibility.
He said every party worker should feel proud to say they belong to the YSR Congress Party.
“Our goal is to build a party where every supporter can proudly say — that is our leader and that is our party, the YSR Congress Party,” he stated.
Greetings to Party Cadres and Supporters
Concluding his speech, Jagan conveyed greetings to party leaders, cadres, supporters, and people across the state who admire YSR.
He extended his wishes not only to supporters in Andhra Pradesh but also to everyone across the country who continues to cherish the legacy of YSR.
Several former ministers, MLAs, MLCs, senior leaders, public representatives, and thousands of party workers attended the celebrations
