Singapore, June 15, 2026 — Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong during his official visit to Singapore and discussed cooperation in technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, urban governance, education, and green energy.
The two leaders held a 30-minute meeting at the Singapore Prime Minister’s official residence and explored opportunities to strengthen ties between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore.
Chandrababu Seeks Technology and Semiconductor Partnerships
During the meeting, Chandrababu requested Singapore’s support in building a semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem and strengthening capacity building in Andhra Pradesh.
He also sought cooperation in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, innovation, and university-led research.
Moreover, the Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to attract investments in advanced technology sectors and create a future-ready economy.
Focus on Amaravati and Urban Development
The Chandrababu Singapore PM Meeting also focused on Amaravati and urban governance.
Lawrence Wong reportedly enquired about the progress of Amaravati’s development. Chandrababu explained the capital city’s infrastructure plans, educational institutions, and international-standard construction projects.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister said Amaravati aims to become one of India’s most livable cities.
He also requested Singapore’s cooperation in urban governance across Andhra Pradesh’s cities and towns.
Agriculture, Aquaculture and Trade Discussed
Chandrababu informed the Singapore Prime Minister about Andhra Pradesh’s natural farming initiatives.
He requested Singapore to explore imports of horticulture and aquaculture products from Andhra Pradesh.
In addition, the Chief Minister explained efforts to improve certification and traceability systems for products cultivated through natural farming practices.
Green Energy and Future Growth
The Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s ambition to produce 160 GW of green energy in the coming years.
The leaders also discussed population trends, affordable housing, childcare policies, and economic growth opportunities.
Both sides expressed optimism that India’s manufacturing and supply-chain sectors could expand significantly, similar to the growth seen in the services sector.
Strengthening AP-Singapore Relations
The Chandrababu Singapore PM Meeting reflects Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to attract global investments and partnerships.
