Maharashtra recorded the highest GST collection among Indian states in September 2026, collecting ₹29,986 crore. Karnataka followed with ₹13,884 crore, while Gujarat collected ₹12,222 crore. Tamil Nadu and Haryana also crossed the ₹10,000 crore mark, with collections of ₹10,188 crore and ₹10,097 crore respectively. Uttar Pradesh collected ₹8,882 crore, followed by Delhi at ₹6,354 crore and West Bengal at ₹5,549 crore. Among the southern states, Telangana collected ₹5,327 crore, while Odisha recorded ₹4,356 crore. Rajasthan collected ₹4,151 crore, followed by Andhra Pradesh at ₹3,599 crore and Kerala at ₹3,328 crore. Madhya Pradesh reported ₹3,198 crore, while Punjab collected ₹2,549 crore. Jharkhand and Assam recorded ₹2,456 crore and ₹2,415 crore respectively. Chhattisgarh collected ₹2,366 crore, while Bihar recorded ₹1,700 crore. Uttarakhand reported ₹1,277 crore and Himachal Pradesh collected ₹640 crore. Jammu and Kashmir recorded ₹487 crore, while Goa collected ₹494 crore. Other collections included Chandigarh at ₹238 crore, Sikkim at ₹194 crore, Meghalaya at ₹164 crore and Arunachal Pradesh at ₹136 crore. Manipur collected ₹92 crore, while Tripura reported ₹86 crore and Nagaland ₹76 crore. Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Ladakh each recorded ₹50 crore. Mizoram collected ₹38 crore, while Lakshadweep reported ₹1 crore. Puducherry recorded ₹179 crore, while Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu collected ₹384 crore. Center Jurisdiction reported ₹536 crore, while Other Territory recorded ₹265 crore. The figures show a wide gap in GST collections across states and territories, with Maharashtra remaining the top contributor in September 2026.
