Bringing the Ramayana to the big screen is no easy task. The epic carries deep emotions, cultural importance and expectations from millions of people. However, director Nitesh Tiwari handles this huge responsibility with confidence and delivers an impressive cinematic experience.

Ramayana Part One offers a powerful mix of grandeur, emotion and engaging storytelling. The film’s world-building is impressive, while the action sequences add scale and excitement. Several emotional moments also connect strongly with the audience. The film creates excitement for Part Two, which promises more drama, conflict and epic battles.

Ranbir Kapoor delivers an excellent performance as Lord Ram. He brings sincerity, calmness and conviction to the character. His performance gives a strong answer to those who questioned his casting.

Sai Pallavi stands out as Maa Sita. Her graceful screen presence and emotional performance bring warmth and depth to the character. Yash is equally impressive as Ravana. His commanding presence and intense performance make him a strong part of the film.

Rakul Preet Singh makes a welcome addition as Shurpanakha and delivers a good supporting performance. Overall, the cast does justice to the characters they portray.

The songs may not leave a strong impression, but the background score is one of the film’s biggest strengths. A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer elevate important emotional and action scenes with powerful music. Some action sequences feel slightly lengthy, but they do not spoil the overall experience.

Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra deserve appreciation for taking on a project of this scale. The film’s grand visuals, detailed world-building and international creative effort reflect the ambition behind the project.
