HD Kumaraswamy Makes Sensational Sting Operation Claim Against Congress

Union Minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy has made a series of allegations against Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, claiming that Shivakumar conducted a sting operation against Siddaramaiah.

Kumaraswamy alleged that the operation was used to collect information against Siddaramaiah and ultimately force him to step down as Karnataka Chief Minister. He also claimed that Shivakumar is using similar tactics within the Congress government.

According to Kumaraswamy, the alleged sting operation against Siddaramaiah played a role in the political developments that led to his resignation. These claims have not been independently established, and Kumaraswamy has not publicly provided evidence confirming the allegations.

Kumaraswamy further alleged that Shivakumar is attempting to control ministers by using sting operations. He claimed that the Deputy Chief Minister is keeping a close watch on members of his own government through such methods.

The allegations come amid continuing political tensions between Kumaraswamy and Shivakumar. The two leaders have frequently exchanged accusations over Karnataka politics, government decisions and alleged irregularities.

Shivakumar has previously rejected allegations made against him by Kumaraswamy and has challenged him to make his claims in the Karnataka Assembly. Recent exchanges between the two leaders have also included allegations involving political funding, government decisions and investigative agencies.

The reference to sting operations is particularly sensitive because such operations involve covert recording or undercover methods. The Karnataka High Court has previously laid down safeguards concerning media sting operations, including requirements relating to public interest, editorial approval and compliance with law.

Kumaraswamy’s latest comments are therefore part of a wider political confrontation in Karnataka. The allegations against Shivakumar remain claims made by Kumaraswamy and should not be treated as established facts unless supported by evidence or confirmed through an official investigation.

The Congress leadership has yet to establish any official finding based on the allegations described by Kumaraswamy. Further political reactions are expected as the dispute continues.
