The Ram Temple in Ayodhya has drawn attention after new photographs showed the temple complex illuminated with warm, elegant lighting ahead of Deepotsav 2026. Images shared by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust showcase the temple’s architectural details under soft lighting, creating a devotional atmosphere.
The lighting display has received positive reactions online, with many people appreciating its subtle appearance rather than bright, flashy colours. The updated facade lighting adds to the preparations for the upcoming Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya.
The 10th edition of Deepotsav is scheduled for November 7, 2026. The celebrations are expected to include large-scale lighting of earthen lamps along the Saryu riverfront, alongside cultural programmes and devotional events.
Organisers have reportedly planned to light 30 lakh diyas as part of the celebrations. The event is expected to attract devotees and visitors from across India, making it one of Ayodhya’s major annual religious and cultural gatherings.
Deepotsav celebrates the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya and forms an important part of the city’s festive traditions. The temple’s illumination adds to the atmosphere as the city prepares to welcome visitors for the celebrations.
With preparations underway, Ayodhya is expected to see increased activity around the temple complex and the Saryu riverfront ahead of the festival.
