The meeting focused on bringing Moscow’s successful transport innovations to India and Andhra Pradesh.

Focus on AI-Based Transit Tracking

During the discussions, Lokesh requested technical support for implementing AI-powered transit tracking and smart traffic management systems similar to those used in Moscow.

He highlighted the need for advanced digital platforms that can improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and enhance commuter experience in Indian metropolitan cities.

Cooperation in Metro Rail Development

Lokesh also sought Moscow’s expertise in metro rail corridor planning and expansion.

He proposed collaboration with Moscow Metro engineering specialists to help optimize passenger rail expansions and strengthen metro infrastructure projects across India.

The minister emphasized that modern transport systems are essential for supporting rapid urban growth.

Smart Electric Mobility Solutions

Another key area of discussion involved high-capacity electric buses and smart charging infrastructure.

Lokesh invited Moscow transport authorities to partner in introducing advanced electric mobility solutions that can improve sustainability and reduce urban pollution.

The proposal aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s vision of adopting green transportation technologies.

Fintech Valley and Digital Ticketing

The Andhra Pradesh minister also suggested exploring a secure facial-recognition ticketing framework for municipal transit services linked to Visakhapatnam’s Fintech Valley initiative.

Such technology could streamline ticketing processes and improve operational efficiency while maintaining passenger security.

Logistics and Cargo Connectivity

Lokesh proposed cooperation in developing multimodal logistics hubs and digital freight corridors at Indian ports.

He pointed to Moscow’s advanced cargo tracking systems and logistics optimization platforms as potential models for strengthening India’s transportation and supply-chain networks.

The initiative aims to improve connectivity between ports, railways and road transport systems.

Strengthening India-Russia Technology Collaboration

The meeting reflects Andhra Pradesh’s broader strategy of attracting global technology partnerships and adopting world-class urban infrastructure solutions.

By leveraging Moscow’s expertise in transport management, AI systems and logistics, Andhra Pradesh hopes to accelerate its transformation into a technology-driven state.
