Narendra Modi Creates History as India’s Longest-Serving Elected Prime Minister

New Delhi, June 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi created history on Tuesday by becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. He completed 4,399 consecutive days in office and surpassed the record set by Jawaharlal Nehru.

Nehru served continuously for 4,398 days between May 13, 1952, and May 27, 1964. However, Modi has now moved ahead with 12 years and 14 days of uninterrupted service since taking office on May 26, 2014.
