Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in France to participate in the G7 Summit 2026, following his visits to Slovakia and Geneva, where he held discussions aimed at strengthening India’s international partnerships and expanding cooperation across key sectors.
Modi joins the G7 Summit 2026 as an outreach partner at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit, being held from June 15 to 17, brings together world leaders to discuss pressing global challenges, including the Ukraine conflict, artificial intelligence, trade tensions, energy security, and reforms in global governance.
G7 Summit 2026 Follows Successful Slovakia Visit
Ahead of the summit, Prime Minister Modi concluded a significant visit to Slovakia, where India and Slovakia elevated their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership.
The visit focused on expanding cooperation in trade, technology, innovation, defense, and people-to-people exchanges. During his engagements, Modi emphasized India’s growing role in Europe and its commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships.

Modi Meets Swiss Leaders in Geneva
Before arriving in France, Modi also stopped in Geneva, where he met Swiss leaders, including President Guy Parmelin, to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation.
The discussions covered economic engagement, investments, innovation, and collaboration in emerging technologies. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding relations and exploring new opportunities for partnership.
