Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday asked officials to stay alert against political conspiracies and misinformation campaigns.
Speaking at a review meeting in Amaravati, Naidu alleged that some political parties were trying to give incidents a caste or religious colour. He said such attempts could create divisions among people and harm the state’s image.
The Chief Minister urged officials to act quickly against false information. He said the government would expose such campaigns and protect the interests of Andhra Pradesh.
Chandrababu Naidu Raises Concern Over Misinformation
Naidu said some groups were spreading false narratives to create confusion among the public. Therefore, he asked officials to remain vigilant and respond without delay.
He also stressed the need to maintain peace and social harmony. According to the Chief Minister, development should remain the state’s top priority.
Amaravati Development Remains Government Focus
Meanwhile, the government continues to push forward with the development of Amaravati.
Recently, Parliament passed the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill. As a result, Amaravati secured its position as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh. Naidu said Amaravati would play a key role in the state’s future growth. He added that the government remains committed to building world-class infrastructure in the capital region.
Political Tensions Continue
At the same time, political tensions between the ruling alliance and the YSR Congress Party continue. The ruling coalition has often accused the YSRCP of opposing Amaravati’s development plans. However, the opposition has rejected those allegations. Nevertheless, the debate over the capital city remains a major political issue in Andhra Pradesh.
Government Focuses on Growth
Naidu said the government will continue to focus on development, investment, and public welfare. He urged officials to concentrate on governance and public service. Furthermore, he asked them to prevent misinformation from affecting public confidence. The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh’s growth and progress remain the government’s primary goals.
