Hyderabad: Filmmaker Raj Nidimoru has revealed that he wanted Samantha Ruth Prabhu to perform more intense action sequences in Maa Inti Bangaaram. He said he never held back while designing the film’s action and believed Samantha had the strength and emotional depth needed for the role.
The action comedy has been performing well at the box office since its release. Raj, who created the story for the film, said he wanted every action scene to feel natural and believable.
Raj Wanted Realistic Action
In a recent interview, Raj said he did not treat Samantha’s action scenes differently because she was the lead actress.
“We never held back on the kicks, flips or the physicality. I knew Samantha’s abilities from our earlier work together in The Family Man. This time, I wanted to push her even further,” he said. Raj explained that the action scenes were designed to look realistic instead of relying on slow-motion shots or exaggerated hero moments.
Samantha Took on the Challenge
Raj praised Samantha for fully committing to the demanding action sequences. He said she gave her best both physically and emotionally, which helped bring the story to life on screen.
He added that the team wanted every fight scene to feel authentic. Instead of dramatic poses, they focused on realistic movements that matched the emotions of the characters.
Bigger Opponents Added More Realism
Raj also shared that the filmmakers deliberately cast physically bigger actors for the climax. This helped create believable fight scenes and showed how Samantha’s character could overcome stronger opponents using skill, determination and smart action. According to him, this realistic approach became one of the film’s biggest strengths.
Strong Box Office Performance
Maa Inti Bangaaram has earned ₹47.10 crore in India so far. The film also marks Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s second production venture. Samantha recently said the film became profitable from the sale of its very first ticket because it was made on a carefully controlled budget.
