A Gurugram woman biker chased incident on Golf Course Road has sparked outrage after a video of the encounter went viral. The rider, who goes by Sia on Instagram, was riding her Aprilia RS 457 sports bike with a group of friends on Sunday, September 13, 2026, when a white sedan allegedly began following her.
What Happened
Sia said the car had been tailing her group since the start of their ride. She alleged the occupants were drunk and made aggressive hand gestures, signalling her to stop. When she asked the driver to maintain distance instead, the car allegedly moved to cut her off and struck her motorcycle before speeding away. The collision was captured on an action camera mounted on her bike.
Friends Try to Intervene
One of Sia’s friends, riding behind her, attempted to shield her from the car during the incident. After the crash, another friend chased the car down and confronted the driver at a traffic signal. The driver denied responsibility and drove off again, according to Sia’s account.
Police Response
Sia shared the car’s registration number and the alleged owner’s name on social media after the incident. Gurugram Police said they have taken cognisance of the matter based on the viral video and are working to verify the exact location using footage, with plans to obtain a formal complaint from Sia so an FIR can be registered against the driver.
Wider Reaction
The video drew widespread support online, with many users calling for the driver’s arrest, license revocation, and the car’s confiscation. The incident has renewed concerns about the safety of women riders on Gurugram’s roads.
