Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Rajasthan will soon get new computer labs and smart classrooms. The National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) signed an MoU for the project.
Rajasthan Eklavya Schools to Get New Smart Classrooms
The two organisations signed the Memorandum of Understanding in New Delhi. The project will create computer labs and smart classrooms in Eklavya Model Residential Schools across Rajasthan.
HPCL will support the project under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The total investment will cross ₹16 crore.
The new facilities will give tribal students better access to computers and digital learning tools. They will also help schools create more modern learning spaces.
Government Focuses on Tribal Education
Ranjana Chopra, Secretary of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, spoke about the project in New Delhi. She said the investment will provide important support to students in Eklavya Model Residential Schools.
Chopra also said the government remains committed to providing quality education to tribal students. The new computer labs and smart classrooms form part of that wider effort.
Digital learning can give students access to online study material, educational software and other learning resources. As a result, the facilities could help students build stronger skills for higher education and future careers.
Eklavya Students Show Strong Results
The announcement comes after strong academic results from Eklavya Model Residential Schools. More than 450 students from these schools qualified for the IIT-JEE Advanced examination this year.
In addition, more than 350 students qualified for the NEET-UG examination. These results highlight the growing academic performance of students from tribal residential schools.
The new facilities could further support students preparing for competitive examinations. Computer access can also help them use digital study resources and online learning platforms.
