Cyclone Murasu May Threaten Andhra Pradesh Coast From November 2

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) is reportedly monitoring a weather system over the Bay of Bengal that could intensify into Cyclone Murasu. The system is expected to develop into a depression before gaining further strength.

According to the supplied report, the cyclone could approach the Andhra Pradesh coast around November 2, with possible landfall near areas such as Nellore, Ongole and Machilipatnam.

South and central Andhra Pradesh districts, including Guntur and the Godavari region, may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall between November 2 and 4. The weather system could also bring rain to inland areas, with possible effects extending towards Hyderabad.

North Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, may receive moderate rainfall accompanied by gusty winds.
