Andhra Pradesh Begins Voter List Revision, 4.16 Crore Voters to Be Verified

Amaravati, June 15, 2026 — The Election Commission has launched the Andhra Pradesh Voter List Revision process across the state, initiating a large-scale verification exercise covering approximately 4.16 crore voters.

The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process began simultaneously in all 175 Assembly constituencies.

Andhra Pradesh Voter List Revision Underway

On the first day of the exercise, officials distributed 4,12,384 enumeration forms to eligible voters.

The Election Commission aims to verify voter records and update electoral rolls to ensure accuracy ahead of future elections.

Moreover, the exercise will help identify corrections, additions, and deletions in the voter database.

Officials Deployed Across the State

To carry out the Andhra Pradesh Voter List Revision, the Election Commission has deployed:

  • 175 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs)
  • 1,076 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs)
  • 46,397 Booth Level Officers (BLOs)

These officials will oversee voter verification and data collection across the state.

Booth-Level Network Activated

The process will also involve 68,868 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) representing various political parties.

Furthermore, the extensive network of BLOs and BLAs is expected to support smooth implementation of the revision process at the grassroots level.

Officials have urged voters to cooperate during verification and submit accurate information wherever required.

Focus on Accurate Electoral Rolls

The Andhra Pradesh Voter List Revision is one of the largest electoral verification exercises undertaken in the state.

The Election Commission says updated voter rolls are essential for maintaining transparency and ensuring fair electoral processes.

The verification exercise will continue in phases across all constituencies in the coming weeks.
