TGSRTC to Issue Online Journalist Bus Passes for 2026-2028 Accreditation Period

Hyderabad, June 15, 2026 — The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has announced the issuance of new Telangana Journalist Bus Passes for accredited working journalists across the state.

The concessional bus passes will be available online from June 17, 2026, and will remain valid until April 30, 2028, matching the validity period of the latest accreditation cards issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations (I&PR).

Online Facility for Accredited Journalists

According to a circular issued by TGSRTC, accredited journalists at both the state and district levels can obtain the new bus passes through the online system.

The move follows a request from the Information and Public Relations Department after it issued accreditation cards for the 2026–2028 period.

As a result, eligible journalists can continue to access concessional travel benefits on TGSRTC services throughout the accreditation cycle.

Validity Period Announced

The Telangana Journalist Bus Passes will remain valid from:

  • June 17, 2026
  • April 30, 2028

TGSRTC has directed all Regional Managers to ensure smooth implementation of the process and provide necessary instructions to concerned officials.
