YS Jagan Writes to Sharmila, Raises Objections to Daughter’s Wedding at His Bengaluru Residence

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has written a letter to his sister Y.S. Sharmila, raising concerns over her decision to hold her daughter’s wedding at his Bengaluru residence. In the letter dated October 9, 2026, Jagan congratulated the family on the wedding but expressed objections to using his property as the venue.

Jagan began the letter by wishing Anjali a lifetime of happiness and love. However, he said he was concerned that his objections had been ignored and that the wedding was still planned at his Bengaluru residence.

Explaining his concerns, Jagan said hosting a wedding at the property would create security and privacy risks. He pointed out that such an event would bring numerous guests, catering staff, decorators, photographers, videographers and event management teams onto the premises.

He also expressed concern about photographs and videos of the property and surrounding areas circulating publicly. According to the letter, the presence of many unfamiliar people could attract unnecessary attention and create security challenges for him and his family.

Jagan stated that the decision was not easy, as he had watched Jili grow up and wanted the best for her. However, he maintained that the security and privacy concerns could not be overlooked, particularly because he currently lives at the residence.

In the letter, Jagan also suggested an alternative venue. He offered the use of his Hyderabad Lotus Pond property for the wedding and said the offer remained open. He added that he wanted the occasion to be special for the family while asking Sharmila to consider his concerns.

The letter highlights a disagreement over the proposed wedding venue, with Jagan citing security and privacy concerns. He concluded by asking his sister to understand his position and consider an alternative arrangement for the ceremony.
