Iran has announced that its airspace reopens for civilian aviation following a temporary suspension triggered by recent military exchanges with Israel.
The decision came after Iranian authorities coordinated with military and aviation officials to assess security conditions. As a result, commercial flight operations resumed on Monday afternoon.
Flight Operations Resume
Iranian aviation authorities lifted restrictions that had disrupted air travel across the region.
Officials said airports and air traffic systems are returning to normal operations. Furthermore, airlines can now resume scheduled services that were delayed or rerouted during the security alert.
The move is expected to ease travel disruptions affecting passengers and international carriers.
Recent Military Escalation
The airspace closure followed a fresh round of military tensions between Israel and Iran.
The escalation began after Israeli strikes targeted locations in Lebanon and Iran. Subsequently, Iran launched ballistic missiles toward northern Israel.
Israeli defense systems intercepted most of the incoming missiles. Later, Israel carried out retaliatory strikes near Tehran and other locations.
Regional Air Travel Gets Relief
Iraq has also reopened its airspace after imposing precautionary restrictions during the confrontation.
Therefore, airlines operating across the Middle East can gradually restore regular routes through the region.
Industry analysts say the reopening will help reduce delays, lower operating costs, and improve connectivity for international flights.
Markets Watch for Stability
Despite the reopening, global markets remain cautious.
Investors and airlines continue to monitor developments closely as concerns over regional security persist. However, the return of commercial aviation operations signals a temporary easing of tensions.
Diplomatic efforts are expected to continue as regional and international powers seek to prevent further escalation.
