A businessman from Surat has won hearts online after giving each of his 20 employees a Diwali bonus of more than ₹1 lakh. A video showing the special celebration has gone viral on social media.
The businessman, Ramswaroop Munde, owns Mahadev Cloth Centre in Mota Varachha, Surat. He reportedly arranged bundles of cash on decorative plates and presented them to his employees as part of the Diwali celebrations.
The employees received cash in different denominations, ranging from ₹10 to ₹500. The total amount distributed was reportedly around ₹20 lakh.
The gesture reportedly follows the Rajasthani tradition of ‘Mamera’. Munde said he considers his employees an extension of his family rather than just workers.
