Amit Shah Border Crackdown Begins In Rajasthan After High-Level Security Review

By South Matters National Desk | India Security

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched a major Amit Shah border crackdown along the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan after conducting a high-level security review in Bikaner.

During the meeting, Amit Shah reviewed security challenges across five sensitive border districts. He also directed authorities to take strict action against illegal structures, smuggling routes and suspicious financial activities near the border.

The latest Amit Shah border crackdown aims to strengthen border security and improve coordination between citizens, police forces and central agencies like the Border Security Force (BSF).

Amit Shah Focuses On Smuggling And Terror Networks

Officials said Amit Shah asked district administrations to identify and remove illegal encroachments and suspicious establishments operating near border regions.

In addition, he instructed district magistrates to investigate:

  • Fake identity documents
  • Suspicious money transactions
  • Drug smuggling routes
  • Illegal business operations near border zones

The Amit Shah border crackdown also focuses on stopping terror financing networks that may use border districts for illegal activities.

BSF And Local Police To Work Together

According to officials, Amit Shah stressed the need for better coordination between local residents, district police and central security agencies.

The Amit Shah border crackdown will involve regular intelligence sharing between the BSF, police departments and district administrations.

Authorities are also expected to increase surveillance and monitoring across vulnerable border areas in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan Border Security Under National Focus

The security review in Bikaner comes at a time when the Union Government is increasing focus on infiltration, narcotics smuggling and cross-border criminal networks.

Officials believe the Amit Shah border crackdown could lead to more infrastructure development and stronger border monitoring systems in Rajasthan.

The India-Pakistan border remains one of the country’s most sensitive security zones due to repeated concerns over smuggling and illegal infiltration attempts.

West Bengal Border Action Also Discussed

Sources said the Rajasthan review also referred to recent developments in West Bengal after land was reportedly handed over quickly to the BSF following the BJP’s election victory there.

Officials claimed that stronger border infrastructure helped reduce infiltration along the Bangladesh border.

The Centre now appears keen to apply similar security-focused measures in Rajasthan through the ongoing Amit Shah border crackdown.

Political And Security Significance

Political observers believe the Amit Shah border crackdown sends a strong message about the Centre’s continued focus on national security and border management.

Experts also say the move may become a major political talking point ahead of future elections, especially in border states facing security challenges.

Security agencies are expected to begin intensified operations in the coming weeks following Amit Shah’s directives.
