Hinduja briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of a ₹2,500 crore memorandum of understanding signed during the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors’ Conclave in August 2026, outlining how the Hinduja Group’s investments in Tamil Nadu are advancing. He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to continued investment and business expansion in the state.
Renewable Energy and Wind Power Interest
The Hinduja Group representatives expressed interest in further increasing investments in Tamil Nadu’s renewable energy sector, particularly wind power generation, building on the group’s existing presence in the state through Ashok Leyland.
Boosting Commercial Vehicle Exports
The meeting also touched on increasing exports of commercial vehicles manufactured in Tamil Nadu and strengthening the state’s position as an export hub for vehicle manufacturing.
