President Donald Trump’s Trump grandson Luke birthday celebration added a personal touch to his two-day visit to Ireland. The gathering took place at the Trump International Golf Links and Hotel in Doonbeg, where the president was attending the Amgen Irish Open golf tournament.
A Family Pause Amid a Packed Schedule
Trump’s trip centered on the golf tournament and meetings with Irish leaders, including Taoiseach Micheál Martin. Despite the busy itinerary, he took time to mark his grandson Luke’s ninth birthday alongside close family.
Who Was There
Lara Trump, Luke’s mother and a Fox News host, shared photos of the celebration. The images showed the 80-year-old president smiling alongside his son Eric Trump, Lara, Luke, and Luke’s sister Carolina, gathered in front of a sports-themed birthday cake. Lara captioned the post, noting there was no better way to celebrate turning nine than in Ireland with his grandfather.
Luke’s Place in the Trump Family
Luke is one of Trump’s eleven grandchildren, who range in age from 19 to 1 year old. The moment offered a rare glimpse of a lighter, family-focused side of the presidential visit, drawing a warm response online from those following the trip.
