The Sabarimala Gold Heist Case will return to the Kerala High Court on Monday. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) will submit its latest report before the court.
The case has remained in focus across Kerala. Now, the court will review fresh findings from the investigation.
SIT To Present Scientific Findings
The SIT will present the results of tests conducted on gold plates at a laboratory in Jamshedpur.
Investigators carried out these tests to verify claims linked to temple gold works. The findings may help the court decide the next steps in the case.
Court To Hear Bail Cancellation Plea
The Kerala government has asked the court to cancel the bail granted to the temple’s chief priest.
Justice A. Badharudeen will hear the matter. The court is also expected to review arguments from both sides.
As a result, today’s hearing could become an important stage in the case.
Investigation Covers Four Areas
Earlier, the High Court directed the SIT to examine four separate issues.
These include:
- Gold-plating work carried out in 1998
- Sanctum doorway panel work in 2019
- Gold-plating of Dwarapalaka idols
- Re-gold-plating work completed in 2025
The SIT has identified 15 accused in the Dwarapalaka idol case. It has also named 12 accused in the sanctum doorway panel case.
Political Attention Continues
The case continues to attract political attention in Kerala.
Several groups have asked the government to ensure a fair probe. At the same time, opposition leaders have demanded strong action if investigators find evidence of wrongdoing.
Recently, Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said authorities would not spare anyone involved in the alleged theft of temple gold.
Therefore, many observers expect today’s hearing to provide clarity on the future of the investigation.
