The Telangana Labour Department has issued notices to the producers of Ravi Teja’s upcoming film Ir umudi over the participation of a minor girl in the film’s shooting.
Labour Minister Vivek’s department has sought details about whether the production team obtained permission from the District Magistrate before involving the minor in the shoot. Officials have also asked whether the girl’s parents provided written consent.
The Joint Commissioner of the Labour Department has asked the producers to submit the girl’s call sheets, attendance records and details of her working hours during the shoot. The notice also seeks information about the steps taken to ensure that filming did not affect her education.
Officials have also questioned whether the production team appointed a special guardian to look after the girl’s safety and welfare during filming.
The department has asked the producers to clarify whether 20 per cent of the girl’s remuneration was deposited in a fixed deposit account. The notice also seeks an explanation about her participation in promotional activities and the film’s pre-release event.
The producers have been directed to appear for an inquiry on November 4, 2026, at 11 AM, with all relevant documents and evidence related to the matter.
