Narendra Modi addressed a massive rally in Katwa, in the Purba Bardhaman district. Despite the scorching heat, thousands of people gathered to attend the event.
Massive Turnout in Bengal
Modi highlighted the strong crowd presence. He said the turnout was even bigger than rallies in his home state, Gujarat. As a result, the rally showed rising support for his campaign.
Supporters stood under the hot sun. However, their energy and enthusiasm remained high throughout the event.
Public Mood Signals Change
Referring to another rally in Jangipur, Modi said the massive participation of ordinary people reflects a clear message. According to him, people now want freedom from what he called politics of appeasement and corruption.
He added that voters have made up their minds to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming elections.
Confidence vs Fear Politics
Modi also spoke about the energy seen in Purba Bardhaman. He said the strength and excitement of the crowd show growing confidence among people.
According to him, this support reflects a shift from fear-based politics to development-focused governance.
Strong Attack on TMC
Meanwhile, Modi strongly criticized the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC). He accused the party of misrule over the past 15 years.
He mentioned issues such as corruption, political violence, and unfulfilled promises to farmers and youth.
Promises for Development
Modi assured that a BJP government would take strict action against corruption. He promised to release a white paper to expose irregularities.
In addition, he spoke about better healthcare, job creation, and welfare measures. Therefore, he positioned BJP as a development-focused alternative.
Election Battle Intensifies
The rally comes ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, scheduled from April 23 to 29 across 294 seats.
Meanwhile, TMC leaders dismissed BJP’s claims. However, the large turnout in multiple rallies suggests that the political contest is becoming more intense.
