Tirumala witnessed a massive Tirumala devotee rush on May 28 as thousands of pilgrims gathered for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara at the hill shrine.
According to temple authorities, a total of 74,569 devotees visited the temple, making it one of the busiest days in recent weeks.
The heavy influx of pilgrims resulted in long waiting queues, with Sarvadarshanam devotees without SSD tokens facing an estimated waiting time of 15 to 20 hours.
Waiting Compartments Filled Up To Silathoranam
Temple authorities stated that waiting compartments were completely filled, with queue lines reportedly extending outside up to Silathoranam.
The Tirumala devotee rush continued throughout the day as pilgrims from different states arrived in large numbers for darshan.
Officials are closely monitoring crowd movement and managing queue systems to ensure smooth arrangements for devotees.
Hundi Collections Cross ₹3.80 Crore
Amid the heavy Tirumala devotee rush, hundi collections at the temple reached ₹3.80 crore in a single day.
TTD officials also revealed that:
- 46,292 devotees offered tonsures
- Laddu sales crossed 4.15 lakh units
- Annaprasadam was served to nearly 2.70 lakh devotees
- Medical treatment was provided to 3,592 pilgrims
The figures highlight the enormous scale of pilgrim activity currently being witnessed at Tirumala.
Pilgrims Advised To Plan Accordingly
With waiting hours increasing significantly, devotees planning to visit Tirumala have been advised to prepare for extended queue times.
Authorities have requested pilgrims to cooperate with crowd management systems and follow temple guidelines during the ongoing Tirumala devotee rush.
Additional security personnel and medical teams have also been deployed to handle the increasing crowd flow at the temple.
Tirumala Continues To Witness Record Crowds
The Tirumala temple has consistently been witnessing heavy pilgrim turnout in recent months, especially during weekends, holidays and spiritually significant periods.
Temple authorities expect the Tirumala devotee rush to continue over the coming days due to the ongoing holiday season and increased spiritual tourism.
