Tamil Nadu Government Announces ₹25,000 Incentive for UPSC Prelims Qualifiers

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Government has announced a financial incentive of ₹25,000 for candidates who clear the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination. The assistance aims to help students prepare for the UPSC Mains examination by covering study and preparation expenses.

Under the scheme, eligible candidates who have cleared the current year’s UPSC Civil Services or Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination can apply for the benefit.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates must be residents of Tamil Nadu and should have qualified in the UPSC Preliminary Examination.

Application Dates

Eligible candidates can submit their applications from June 19 to June 30.

How to Apply

Students can apply through the official Naan Mudhalvan Portal. After verification, the government will directly transfer ₹25,000 to the candidate’s bank account.

The scheme is part of the Tamil Nadu Government’s efforts to encourage more students to pursue careers in the civil services. The financial support is expected to help candidates focus on their preparation for the highly competitive UPSC Mains examination.
