Namakkal district is often remembered for its lorry body building industry. But this land has much more to offer—it is also world famous as the “Egg City,” producing and supplying nutritious eggs not only to Tamil Nadu but also across the globe. Namakkal is not just a land that provides nourishment to the body—it is also a land that nourishes emotions and spirit.

Why do I say this? Let me remind you of two lines that every Tamilian connects with easily:

“Say with pride, I am a Tamil!Stand tall, with your head held high!”

These immortal words were spoken by Captain Vijayakanth, but they were written by none other than the legendary poet Namakkal Kavignar, Ramalingam Pillai, who was born in Moganur, Namakkal.

Namakkal has also given Tamil Nadu leaders who changed the course of history. It was from this soil, in Tiruchengode, that P. Subbarayan, the then Chief Minister of the Madras Presidency, brought in the landmark Communal GO 1071, which ensured reservation rights for backward and oppressed communities. This was one of the greatest milestones in Tamil Nadu’s social justice journey.

Years later, political leaders promised to build a memorial for him in Namakkal under Election Manifesto Promise No. 456. But like comedian Vadivelu showing an empty pocket in a movie, all we got was empty promises—nothing was fulfilled.

DMK’s Unkept Promises in Namakkal

Let’s recall what DMK had promised for Namakkal district:

  • Promise No. 50 – Storage warehouses for grains in every union, with drying facilities linked to procurement centers.

  • Promise No. 66 – Government purchase of copra and production of coconut oil for sale in fair price shops.

  • Promise No. 68 – Distribution of jaggery and country sugar through fair price shops.

  • Promise No. 152 – Restoration of the old pension scheme not just for government staff and teachers, but also for transport workers.

For Namakkal specifically, people have long demanded:

  • A cold storage facility for eggs, since 5 crore eggs are produced here daily.

  • A research center for bacteria and biological studies related to poultry farming.

Despite years of demand, no ruling party—including the present one—has acted on it.

The Kidney Scandal

Another dark chapter is the kidney theft scam that shook Tamil Nadu. Shockingly, it took place in a private medical college owned by a DMK legislator. Poor women working in the power loom sector of Namakkal were the primary victims. Exploited under the burden of loan sharks, many were driven to sell their kidneys just to survive.

This cruel reality exposes how the state has failed to improve the economic and living conditions of textile workers. Under our governance, those guilty of such crimes will be punished severely.

What Do People Really Want?

As I travel across towns and villages, people don’t ask for luxuries. They ask for basics:

  • Proper roads

  • Clean drinking water

  • Accessible medical facilities and doctors

  • Women’s safety

This is what the people want, nothing more. And that is exactly what we have promised—education, ration, healthcare, roads, electricity, transport, safety, and law & order. These are not grand or false promises, but fundamental rights of every citizen.

DMK’s False Narrative

DMK makes tall claims but fails to deliver. Do people want us to say something “new” just for the sake of it? Shall we promise IT companies on Mars, flying houses in the sky, or airplanes inside every home? This is the kind of bluffing DMK is known for, and people are tired of it.

Our Stand

Let me be clear once again:

  1. We will never ally with the fascist BJP.

  2. We will never act like DMK, striking secret underground deals with BJP.

  3. We will never betray the principles of leaders like Jayalalithaa by forming opportunistic coalitions.

Tell me, what has BJP done for Tamil Nadu? Have they abolished NEET? Have they given the full educational funds we deserve? No. Then why should we accept this opportunistic alliance that ADMK and BJP are trying to sell?

The Real Contest in 2026

The truth is simple. In 2026, the battle will be only between two parties:

  • Tamil Nadu Victory Party (TVK) – the true voice of the people.

  • DMK – which cheats the people in the name of ideology, while secretly aligning with BJP.

If you vote for DMK, it is as good as voting for BJP. People must not forget this.

So I say again—2026 will decide: Do you want this corrupt, promise-breaking DMK regime to return? Or do you want a government that will genuinely prioritize people’s needs—roads, water, healthcare, education, women’s safety, and justice?

Friends, brothers, sisters—place your trust in me. I once doubted, but today I am certain: Victory is ours. Let us move forward with confidence.
